Burger & Lobster on Bree Street

Burger & Lobster on Bree Street

New York-glam meets innercity-grunge at this fabulous Bree Street bar and restaurant.

The loud, dimly lit space is long and narrow, typical of those found in the Big Apple, with red uplighters at the bar, and exposed brick walls paying homage to the heritage building it’s in.

We recommend Surprise, surprise… there are two things on the menu: a B&L Burger (R129) and a Lobster Roll (R147). But why put yourself through the stress of deciding? Go halfies with your bestie, and get the best of both. The 250g burger is topped with streaky maple bacon and cheese, and comes on a toasted brioche, while the lobster tail is dressed in a light Japanese mayo and tucked into a toasted New England-style brioche roll. Both options are served with hand-cut French fries and herb salad. Not into carbs? Order a whole lobster (from R303 for 350g)

We love The extensive cocktail list that had us chuckling at the clever names.
