Tickets for the Cape Town International Jazz Festival are selling out faster than you can say “syncopated rhythm”. Not surprisingly – it’s the largest jazz festival on the continent (and the fourth in the world).
But don’t be too disappointed if you don’t manage to get tickets… There’s a free Community Concert, happening on 29 March at Greenmarket Square from 5pm onwards, featuring a bunch of top-notch international and local acts. We’re talking: En Vogue (USA), Mango Groove (SA), Moreira Chonguica (Mozambique), VuDu (SA), Danielle Jacobs (SA) and All Star Band (SA).
So, even if you do have tickets for the main event, this pre-festival gig is a fabulous way to celebrate music and life with fellow jazz lovers.
