Origin’s Home Barista and Coffee Appreciation Courses

Learn to make the perfect cappuccino.

Origin Coffee Roasters’ was one of the original companies involved in kickstarting the “coffee movement” in SA some years ago. Its skilled baristas have perfected the fine art of making a good cup of coffee thanks to the rigorous training programme they undergo. Now, you too, can enlist in one of these short courses to learn what goes into making that perfect cup of joe.

Home Barista Course

This is the right course for those wanting to get the most out of their daily coffee ritual. Topics covered include coffee theory, how to pour the perfect espresso, how to make micro-textured milk, and latte art. The course takes place one Saturday a month, behind the impressive coffee bar at Origin HQ in Hudson Street, and costs R600.

The Sunday Brews

This is essentially a one-hour powwow that covers every aspect of the industry. The course takes place one Sunday a month at 10am to 11am and costs R120 per person with a maximum capacity for 12 people.

      Hi Natasha

The Coffee Appreciation Course only takes place when there are enough people to form a group of six or so. Please enquire with Bilbo (contact details in the righthand-sidebar) to find out when the next one will be taking place.

I would love to do one of your coffee appreciation courses. Do you have any planned that i could join? or is the only chance of doing one to organise a group myself? It is exactly what i would love to do.
Hoping you can help, in anticipation …margie
