The newest offering from Neil Grant and Barry Engelbrecht (of Burrata and Bocca fame) is, as its name suggests, an open-plan contemporary space, whose three menus reflect its modern interiors. Chef Annemarie Steenkamp, who headed the kitchens at Burrata and Bocca, has introduced some fun yet sophisticated dishes – think beef tartare with black-bean hummus, kimchi and fried brussel sprouts, or open lasagne with mushrooms, vichyssoise and crispy Parmesan. The impeccably curated wine list comes courtesy of Neil, a former sommelier at Rust en Vrede.
