Bastille Weekend is almost upon us! It’s happening on 15 and 16 July this year. Ease into the celebrations of one of the Cape’s most feted weekends by taking an amble around the Franschhoek Village Market. You’ll find it in the heart of town, under the trees of the church hall.
Grab a bite from the bevy of food stalls – all the foods from cheeses and sausages to burgers and pancakes are fresh, local and delicious. Peruse the crafts on sale, sample beer from the local brewery, or grab a ginger beer, cup of coffee or a glass of wine, and settle in for an afternoon of live music courtesy of Bottomless Coffee Band and Peter Wyness.
Bring the kids, too! There’s a host of activities planned to keep them busy for the day. There is ample parking, as well as a giant marquee to keep revellers warm, should the weather not play along.
