Chefs Warehouse and Jack Black present the Longtable Oyster Feast

If oysters and top-drawer beer are your idea of a perfect pairing, this feast is for you!

This match made in gourmet heaven comes to you courtesy of Chefs Warehouse and Jack Black. It’s happening on 27 July at the Jack Black Brewing Company in Diep River (where the popular Food Truck Friday events take place) – and revellers can expect a veritable feast of West Coast oysters, mouth-watering mains – and, of course, lagerlicious beer!

Schucks galore

Fittingly known as Longtable Oyster Feast, this memorable event sees two of Cape Town’s acclaimed chefs Ivor Jones (Chefs Warehouse Beau Constantia) and Clara Bubenzer (Jack Black) preparing a smorgasbord of super-fresh seafood, which will be nicely rounded off by a beer or two.

For starters,  expect West Coast oysters, with gourmet sauces and garnishes; and for mains, sit back and enjoy mussels meuniere (with fresh, crusty bread and garlic butter), locally sourced smoked sausages (served with mustard mayo), Parmesan-dusted charred sweetcorn wheels (with smoked paprika butter) and fresh coleslaw (with spring onions and sesame seeds).

On the night, Jack Black will also be offering guests a limited-release Sorghum Stout to enjoy with your meal.

Tickets are limited, so booking is essential. And, if you book online, you will receive a free Jack Black beer or glass of bubbly on arrival at the venue. Alternatively, phone 021 286 1220 to secure your spot.
