Robertson Wine Valley’s Hands-on Harvest 2017

Robertson Wine Valley’s Hands-on Harvest 2017

Immerse yourself in the craft of winemaking for a day (or three) at this weekend wine festival.

Are you a wine aficionado, budding vintner, or just a regular garden-variety wine-lover? Then, this boutique outdoor event is for you. It runs from 10 March until 12 March 2017, and offers an array of fun and informative activities organised by 20 of the participating wineries.

The activities programme includes harvesting and stomping grapes, a picnic on a boat along the Breede River, a tractor ride to – and picnics on – the river, (over)indulging at a braai, mountain biking, sunset harvest feats and, of course, plenty of wine tastings! You’ll also have the opportunity to try wine from a number of estates whose products aren’t readily available to the public. Be sure not to miss the Harvest Family Market on Sunday 12 March from 10am until 2pm at the Viljoensdrift Winery. The market boasts organic fresh produce, grape stomping, wine tasting and even boat cruises.

Please be advised that activities need to be booked with the participating winery at least three days in advance in order to secure a spot.
