Housed in the faultlessly luxurious hotel of the same name, this chic eatery serves modern comfort food that’s healthy, flavourful and above all, sustainable. Or as executive chef Jeromy Joubert describes it: “Cape flavours with a gourmet twist”. The décor is a delicious mix of heritage and contemporary styles: a cluster of vintage lampshades presides over the breakfast-buffet table, while an open-plan, metro-tiled kitchen and chic upholstered chairs add a modern edge. And we just adore the tree in the centre of the room that brings the outdoors in. In winter, the fireplace will keep you toasty; in summer, you’d do well to sit in the vine-shaded courtyard.
