Whether you’re a hiking enthusiast, a surfer planning your next getaway, or just looking for a fun way to celebrate the arrival of summer, pop-up camping company, Hey Pioneer, is your gateway to adventure travel.
Wherever, whenever and however you’re looking to experience the great outdoors, Hey Pioneer offers tailor-made adventures for DIY campers and glampers alike.
Deliver My Tent
Choosing a spot in the wild to set up camp for the night is a big part of the appeal for the intrepid among us. But not everyone has the wherewithal – or the time – to acquire the necessary equipment. Hey Pioneer’s cowboy-style Range Tents are easy to pitch and easy to store.
They can be collected from Hey Pioneer (pickup address details are confirmed following booking), or delivered to your home or workplace, along with a camping kit. Each kit contains a kettle, plates, mugs and cutlery, a solar lantern, and campfire blankets, and it can be customised to suit your needs.
Pimp my tent
For those who like the idea of sleeping under the stars but prefer their creature comforts (glampers), Hey Pioneer’s elegant Bell Tents provide more spacious interiors, and can be furnished with bedding, linen and rugs. What’s more, they are delivered to the venue and set up prior to your arrival.
A great option for family holidays, Bell Tents are also great for outdoor weddings and parties. Plus, you can hire additional equipment such as braai grids and utensils, pots, pans and clay ovens, cooler boxes, and tables and chairs. You can even ask for a raised metal bed instead of a mattress.
Good to know: Rentals are subject to availability, and advance booking is required, along with a non-refundable 20% deposit. Hey Pioneer may also charge a refundable breakage deposit, in case of damage to equipment (beyond reasonable wear and tear).
Glamping events can accommodate up to 24 adults. Potential venues include public and private campsites throughout the Western Cape, though this can be discussed at the time of booking (naturally, there must be soft ground and a certain amount of level terrain for a location to qualify as a viable camping venue).
