High up on the slopes of the Constantiaberg mountains, lies Silvermist Wine estate, a veritable jewel in the Constantia wine route’s crown. And it is here, on this farm, that you’ll find the award-winning La Colombe restaurant headed by the top chef in the land. That’s right, Scot Kirton was named South Africa’s Chef of the Year at the annual Eat Out awards in 2015.
The stylish restaurant’s pared-down interior is the perfect canvas for Scot and his dedicated team to conjure up creative French-Asian dishes. Scot’s meticulous attention to detail starts at source – he forages fresh-from-the-earth produce from the organic garden on the estate – and culminates in his immaculately plated dishes.
This winter La Colombe is offering discerning diners a three-course meal and wine-pairing that showcases Scot’s talents brilliantly. We would give you a sneak peek of the menu, but it hasn’t even been announced yet. The best part? We’re giving away this three-course special for two, which includes an iconic wine.
