Make your next night at the movies an unforgettable one: visit Scene, Nu Metro's intimate VIP cinema at the V&A Waterfront.

Don’t you just hate it when you’re totally geared up for an entertaining night at the movies, only to be seated next to the most annoying person on the planet? You know the type who shakes and scratches inside his popcorn box, clears his throat continually, and checks his cellphone for messages throughout the film.

The good news is that you no longer have to contend with those irritations if you book a movie at Nu Metro Scene’s luxury cinema at the V&A Waterfront.

You know, all of you complain about bad service and dirty cinema’s etc etc, and me too hate going to the movies, too expensive in my opinion, but yet despite that, week after week people stream to them in thousands, so how does that work ?

The V&A Waterfront VIP is the worst ,terrible service. What is point of buying a VIP if you not getting any service, the only difference is the chairs nothing else.

Went to watch Fast and Furious 8 @ Canal Walk
Only difference in VIP was the seating.
    Further service was non existent.
Bare in mind that if you’re offering VIP Services and being paid for that service it’s your duty to ensure that your clientele are indeed VIP.
I am a business owner and from a business point of view your service was nothing short of pathetic .
I’ll be sure not to pay for a service not rendered. Nor promote Nu Metro again.
    Dissapointed

What a huge disappointment (VIP) cinema Waterfront Cape Town
We went to VIP cinema at the waterfront, we booked online to watch Live by night (to celebrate my husbands birthday). When we got to the cinema there was no one to help us at the self-help terminals. Only to find out the card we booked with had to be swiped again for our tickets to print.
We stood in a queue to order our foods and drinks. When our food was served my drink was not with the order. We waited whole movie through for my drink it never arrived. After the movie we went to complain only to hear a soft little apology. I had to have my drink after the movie, my meal was dry of course due to no drink.
What a let down there is nothing VIP about this cinema. This VIP cinema in Waterfront Cape town can learn a lot from (Prestige )VIP cinema at Cavendish Claremont, which really is VIP and treats their customers like VIP’s.

First experience of scene extreme a bit of a let down as well. Bought two tickets and glasses for the 3D Star Wars movie. On entering the cinema was told the movie is not that great in 3D so will be showing the 2D 4K version instead. WTH? Real pity as the big screen and sound was awesome. But thats been 2 let downs on both scene extreme experiences. If you trying to get people to the cinemas you going to have to jack up your services. Especially the prices being paid. Just not worth it.

Went to go watch Assassins Creed at Canal Walk. Thought the scene extreme VIP would be an awesome experience. What a rip off. For that price times 2 adults? Stood in the line to buy refreshments like everyone else. No staff around either. Then not even the big screen, but a tiny one. All that money just to have a reclining seat. Wow. Not impressed. What part exactly is the VIP?

Reading the comments above makes me wonder if it is a good idea to visit your VIP cinema – there are more negative comments than positive.

To see what’s playing at The Scene on the Nu Metro website the movie will have a ‘V’ on the top left hand corner.
Also, the Scene cinemas are Metro 1, 2 & 3.

Just when you want to go and experience the whole “scene” again its difficult to find the movie schedule to book again. Get your act together… you want to be known for providing VIP treatment start shaping up – read out comments and get a move on.

Pavilion, Durban. It was a great experience, I loved the service, the seats, and the comfort, well done. It is just very difficult to find the movie schedule.

I have been to the equivalent experience in Australia a number of times. What is critical is professional service and competent people. Also sounds like management has not set up the processes correctly for this to work.
Unfortunate that this cannot be realised in South Africa as it really is a fantastic way to experience the big screen.

NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL!! Not for the R120 spent per ticket.
No extra service received. In fact we waited longer in the queue for drinks and popcorn and the staff said that we had to carry our own beverages to the theatre. People in front of us were buying tickets. Which, in my opinion shouldn’t be allowed. The SCENE & Lounge Experience should make you feel like you are a VIP. If it was not for my daughter and her little friend (aged 6 yrs old) I would have walked away. Not impressed.

I just called to inquire about the show times and the price of the movies, it shows R95 on the website and she told me it is now R120. She said I could pay R95 and I told her I will be calling back, Ive tried several times and the phone is engaged for an hour already. I already feel the VIP experience going down the drain

I agree with you. The cinema and the experience inside watching was fantastic, but the customer service is absolutely appalling! They served other people over and in front of us while we were buying our tickets and also got our refreshment order wrong. Not at all friendly staff either.

** Make SURE you have the correct tickets for this !! We booked it way in advance as we desperately wanted to watch Fast & Furious 7 with the Scene experience. When we arrived we were told we had the wrong tickets and that our tickets were for the normal movie and NOT Scene, although we booked our tickets through the Scene Site !! Book your tickets at Scene self in person at the venue ! Was very disappointing and staff were not helpful. Sad face a no stars from us …
