Experience Franschhoek the Tuk Tuk Way

tuktukfranschhoek.co.za

Nip and tuk-tuk from farm to farm in fabulous Franschhoek.

If, like us, you love the odd awayday to Franschhoek, you’ll be as delighted as we were to discover this easy, convenient (and affordable) way to get around the valley. Because, let’s be frank, nobody wants to get behind a wheel when there are wine farms to visit, nectars to sample, gourmet restaurants to eat at, and picnics to be devoured. We say: let the experts at Tuk Tuk Franschhoek be your personal chauffeur for the day.

How it works

Each Tuk Tuk can accommodate a maximum of four people, and can be booked for anytime of day. These are the three tour options:

  1. The half-day tour R180: three wine farms or three hours (whichever comes first)
  2. The full-day tour R360: five wine farms or five hours (whichever comes first). Add additional wine farms for R60 a pop.
  3. The personalised route Custom-create your own tour through the winelands at any of the estates between La Motte and La Petite Ferme (nothing further, as the tuk-tuks struggle on long gravel roads). Popular stops are: Haute Cabrière, Grande Provence and Dieu Donne Winery. Please note: this option needs to be arranged and booked in advance.

At the end of a winederful day, arrange to have your tuk-tuk take you from your accommodation to a restaurant and back for R30 per trip (this is only available within the Franschhoek CBD).
