The diversity of wildlife in this malaria-free reserve ensures an authentic safari experience, with guests standing a good chance of seeing lion, elephant, buffalo and rhino (that’s four of the Big Five), as well as hippos, black impalas and a variety of bird life.
The lodgings

Spread out across the 4 200 hectare reserve, each one of the individually-designed luxury accommodation options vary in size, and suit all tastes and occasions. There’s also the Main Lodge boasting a lounge and open-plan restaurant – the Fire Place Restaurant. The outdoor wooden deck offers uninterrupted views of the bush and river.
Tented Lodge



These 21 tented suites are connected to the Main Lodge by raised wooden walkways, giving a sense of privacy.

Hidden in the fynbos, in a remote corner of the reserve, these eight self-catering bush villas overlook an active watering hole, and are the epitome of a luxurious stay in nature.

This child-friendly, 16-bedroom lodge – situated on the northern side of the reserve – consists of a collection of new and old historic houses, with each house individual in style, but uniform in luxury and comfort.

Day Safari and Leisure Centre

An abundance of activities await at this scenic reserve, from guided game drives to horseback safaris, outrides and relaxing at the spa.

The lovely leisure area features a swimming pool for adults, a pool with water slides for the kids and a fountain pool for the little ones – not to mention a selection of newly-built shaded picnic areas on wooden decks at the dam.
