The lodgings

Each cottage boasts unrivalled views of the majestic Outeniqua Mountains and provides a feeling of floating among the treetops – a sea of forest gently swaying beneath you as the wind blows through the trees.

There are seven Honeymoon Suites each sleeping two (Iris, Birdsong, Blue Sky, Sandstone, Gorgeous Olive, Earth Rose and Glory Dawn) and one larger unit sleeping four (Lavender Edge, also popular among honeymooners for its Jacuzzi), each designed to maximise relaxation by allowing the outdoors in.

The forest walk takes you all the way down into the valley, past an array of flora and fauna, and the ever-popular Kissing Spot, a wooden hide overlooking the treetops, where couples are encouraged to write their names or dedicated love notes on the walls.

When the sun is out, fill a hamper and head out for a scenic picnic at one of the various relaxation spots along the trail, or simply relax with a book by the shared swimming pool. If it’s chilly, curl up by the crackling fire with a glass of red wine.
