One of the most authentic and rewarding ways to experience its peerless beauty is with an immersive stay in nature, which is where AfriCamps comes in. These custom-designed boutique tents are fully decked-out with everything you need for a blissful getaway: fully equipped kitchens, spacious outdoor decks, sumptuous queen-size beds, hot tubs (at select sites) and of course, breathtaking views.
Of the 11 AfriCamps across South Africa, three are located along the Garden Route – in Wilderness, Plettenberg Bay and Oudtshoorn – each of which offers its own charm and unbeatable setting that truly show off the diversity of the area.
AfriCamps at Oakhurst, Wilderness
Situated on one of the few working farms in the area, AfriCamps at Oakhurst (Wilderness) is home to eight boutique glamping tents scattered among fynbos plains and a beautiful indigenous forest, where grazing dairy cows dot the horizon. A waterfall hiking trail, horse riding, mountain biking, fishing, and canoeing sets the scene for a blissful country escape.
AfriCamps at Ingwe, Plettenberg Bay
AfriCamps at Ingwe (Plettenberg Bay), in the Crags, is home to six elevated tents with unhindered views of the Tsitsikamma Mountain Range and surrounding valleys, creating the perfect base for exploring Plettenberg Bay, Knysna and the Tsitsikamma National Park.
AfriCamps Klein Karoo, Oudtshoorn
Offering something entirely different from the lushness of Plett and Wilderness, the 12 tents at AfriCamps Klein Karoo (Oudtshoorn) are set in a semidesert landscape. Positioned around a dam on a working ostrich farm, this arid location serves as a gateway to the Klein Karoo. The breathtaking Outeniqua pass links Oudtshoorn with the Garden Route, creating an exciting round trip. The iconic ostrich tour, Karoo drive and meerkat safari are must-dos at this unique location.
AfriCamps at Oakhurst, Wilderness

The total prize is valued at R15 990, and includes three consecutive two-night stays at each of the following locations: AfriCamps at Oakhurst, AfriCamps at Ingwe and AfriCamps Klein Karoo in Oudtshoorn (six nights in total). The prize excludes transport, meals and all extras.
This competition and its prizes are being offered by AfriCamps, which is solely responsible for ensuring that the winner receives his/her prize.
