Located at the charming High Constantia centre in Constantia, Foxcroft is part of the renowned La Colombe family of restaurants. Since it opened in 2016, it has been dazzling diners with its inspired dishes – and, in particular, the synergy between food and wine.

The interiors are stylish but not flashy; Mid-Century Modern-style chairs, wood panelling, a central fireplace and an open pass (for an eye into the kitchen) create a welcoming ambience. The bar area is the perfect space for pre-dinner aperitifs; the verandah is lovely on a sunny day.

The Tasting Menu

Though the vibe at Foxcroft is more laidback than its siblings in the La Colombe family, the food has a fine-dining ethos. Chef-patron Glen Foxcroft Williams started out as one of SA’s top pastry chefs (working at the original La Colombe from age 19), and his entire menu receives the same rigorous attention to detail and immaculate plating as the finest patisserie.

The ingredients are sourced as locally as possible, and are absolutely seasonal, resulting in boundary-pushing dishes that taste as good as they look. But “deliciousness must come first”, the chef says.
