Famed for its ancient forests, gushing rivers, vibrant wetlands, white-sand beaches, and mountains, The Garden Route is home to a string of coastal resorts, one of which is Wilderness. Here, all of these natural landmarks converge to form a landscape of restorative beauty – a perfect location for the beautiful Nima Lodge.
The boutique hotel, made up of three stylish wooden cabins and a central lapa, overlooks wooded hills and valleys to the distant Outeniqua Mountains beyond. Atop a sunny hill, the lodge is a short stroll from the Touw River and waterfalls in Wilderness National Park.
The contemporary cabins ooze warmth and comfort. Breakfast is served each morning in the lapa, which is also the venue for yoga classes. The sun-drenched pool deck hints to Nima’s name (sun in Tibetan).
The three wooden chalets are self-catering, and feature wood-burning fireplaces and panoramic views over the valley (best enjoyed from the giant bathtub or private deck).
