Located in Rocklands in the Northern Cederberg near Clanwilliam, this secluded getaway is surrounded by spectacularly beautiful rugged rock formations and fynbos as far as the eye can see. With ancient bush art dotted around the area and small antelope hopping around the terrain, this culturally rich escape is a wonderful sojourn for those looking to rough it in style.
Host to three glamping units, each designed to showcase the otherworldly scenery that envelopes the site, The Storytellers comprises two large luxury tents (Dassie Den and Tortoise Terrace) and one cross-over unit (Caracal Cottage): a small cottage with a safari tent pitched alongside the main structure.
Both luxury tents have double beds and bunk beds in each unit, sleeping up to four people, and are sheltered from the elements by a discreet roof canopy.
Caracal Cottage’s main bedroom (with a double bed) is inside the caravan (built into the cottage), with a bunk bed inside the cottage, and another double bed in the safari tent, allowing it to accommodate six people comfortably.
And now, you and three lucky friends stand the chance of experiencing this magical retreat first hand, with a stay in any of these wonderful units, by simply entering our competition.
While you’re there, be sure to embark on one of the walking trails (Kloof, Waterfall and Heuningvlei), each of which is a great way to explore the spectacular surrounds, before cooling off with a dip in the farm lake, river, waterfall and rock pools. Adventure lovers will enjoy bouldering in the Rocklands, while those interested in plants and well-being can schedule a workshop at the Storytellers Fynbos Apothecary (at an additional cost).
On your drive up, make a pit stop at De Tol farmstall on the Piekenierskloof Pass in Citrusdal, where you can stretch your legs and grab a takeaway toasted sandwich and a cup of freshly brewed coffee.
