Perched above a sea of fynbos, overlooking the sparkling ocean beyond, this boutique beach villa in the sleepy fishing village of Simon’s Town is the perfect combination of laidback luxury and seaside seclusion.
A mere stone’s throw from world-famous Boulders Beach, and its resident colony of endangered African penguins, Tintswalo at Boulders sleeps 18 guests in nine luxurious suites, plus two children in the cute Penguin Suite. Available to book on an exclusive-use basis, the villa is ideally suited to long-term stays, but also operates as a bed and breakfast – making it an ideal choice for an intimate, romantic overnight escape with your significant other.
Each of the nine luxury suites is individually decorated, all have luxurious en-suite bathrooms and some with private balconies. Paying homage to maritime history and its location in Simon’s Town, the suites are named after famous ships from around the world, such as Mayflower and Cutty Sark.
The villa offers numerous public areas, such as two spacious north-facing balconies ideal for breakfast and afternoon sundowners. There are also two large open-plan lounges with fireplaces for chilly seaside evenings, a TV room, indoor dining areas, a wind-protected courtyard with a fire pit, and a pool on the top deck with striking mountain and ocean views.
Guests here are fully immersed in the beauty and uniqueness of the setting, with a direct pathway to the beach and a concierge service offered for restaurant bookings, snorkelling safaris and guided sea-kayaking excursions, should you so desire.
