Willi and Ronél Botha’s new restaurant is a delicious combination of chic decor and contemporary architecture inside, with spectacular views of the Boland Mountains and surrounding vineyards outside. Add excellent service and superb food, and you have all the ingredients of a perfect day out.
The ever-changing menu at Crown Restaurant has an interesting selection of modern comfort food made from seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
The lamb shoulder which is braised with thyme & garlic, served with herb flavoured mashed potato and green beans, sounds heavenly, as do the deep fried goats cheese truffles, served with baby salad leaves, a vanilla and pear chutney, balsamic reduction and herb oil. The strawberry mousse served with cracked black pepper in a wafer basket with a wild berry coulis is an absolute delight.
