Following the success of the first edition last year, Art Franschhoek returns to the the valley from the 27 October until 27 November, during which visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a show-stopping selection of contemporary African art.
Art, Art and More Art
Franschhoek’s finest galleries (and some wine farms, too) will be abuzz with festival fever. The 2017 programme is packed with exciting art-speriences, whose highlights include a mixed-media showcase at the world-renowned Everard Read Gallery; a wonderful display of sculptures and ceramics at Ebony/Curated; and a retrospective landscape exhibition of the late Erik Laubscher, also at Ebony/Curated.
You absolutely must do the garden and art tour through Leeu Estates for its breathtaking vistas and jaw-dropping art collection.

If you get to Franschhoek for the opening weekend (27 to 29 October), you’ll be able to enjoy a selection of special events hosted by some of the participating galleries. Highlights include curated artist walkabouts, a live casting demonstration, and a selection of theatrical performances in the Franschhoek Town Hall.
