Rolling lawns and majestic views of the surrounding Simonsberg Mountain range… there’s hardly a more relaxing and picturesque setting for a Sunday afternoon wind-down. Add superb food, excellent wine, and the live, laidback tunes of some cool local bands, and you have all the makings of a picture-perfect picnic.
Food, glorious food
If you’d prefer not to deal with queues and the like, book the picnic basket-and-concert ticket combo (R230 online). Then, sit back and enjoy your ready-made feast (filled to the brim with freshly baked bread, quiche, charcuterie, local cheese, olives, pâtés, preserves, pinotage onion relish, pickles, a chef’s salad, a chocolate brownie and fresh seasonal fruit salad), while the smaller members of your crew enjoy a jumping castle and other lawn games.
Alternatively, purchase a regular ticket (R120 online; R150 at the gate) and enjoy a selection of street food-style eats, such as wraps, burgers and fries, as well as wine, beer and cider – all of which will be available to purchase onsite.

100 years of tradition for R100!
Current CEO Simon Back says. “Wine and hospitality have always been an integral part of the Backsberg tradition.” And, to keep the hospitality alive, Backsberg will be offering a limited number of tickets for R100 each. These promotional tickets are available at the Backsberg Restaurant and Backsberg Tasting Room prior to the concert date.
