Following on from last year’s popular events, Boschndal’s 2022 Winemaker’s Dinner Series takes diners on an epicurean journey of discovery. Hosted by executive chef Allistaire Lawrence and cellarmaster Jacques Viljoen, the monthly dinners take place in The Werf (the estate’s flagship restaurant) and feature three delectable courses accompanied by a variety of equally luscious wines. Both Allistaire and Jacques will be on hand to answer questions and share anecdotes about various aspects of the meal.

Starter mussel risotto with local hake and garden spring onions
Wine April De Werf Chardonnay 2015
Main Angus sirloin, with smoked king oyster mushrooms, rosemary potatoes and Bordelaise sauce

Dessert Lemongrass panna cotta, with burnt orange, salt and thyme meringue and white

Puppet parade

Boschendal Puppet Parade

On Sunday, 1 May 2022, Boschendal is hosting a spellbinding puppet performance in partnership with the Ukwanda Puppet Company (from the Centre for Humanities Research at the University of the Western Cape). Performed by puppeteers and musicians from Net vir Pret in Barrydale, the show aims to create awareness for fresh-water conservation and will feature the endangered redfin minnow and other surprises. The show begins at 11am, starting at The Werf and moving to the Manor House lawns. Young and old are sure to be entertained.
Everyone is welcomed and no bookings are required. Entry is free.
