Located beneath the picturesque mountains of Paarl at Nelson’s Creek Wine Estate, Equilibrium is an outdoor festival experience with a unique twist! – educating attendees about science, wellness and eco-related topics, while providing a platform for networking, self-expression and enjoying a beautiful day outdoors in nature.
What to expect
The festival aims to spread the message of conscious living and, as such, activities include talks and workshops by experts in the following fields:
- Permaculture by Guerilla House
- Eco-living and Recycling by Gabriel Ally
- Meditation and Mindfulness by Michal George
- Transpersonal Psychology by Lauren Porter
- Wellness and Nutrition by Alexandra Cousins
- Astrology by Rod Suskin
Attendees are also invited to enjoy a 60-minute vinyasa flow yoga class guided by Lauren Porter, co-owner of YogaLife in Cape Town.
In addition to the talks and workshops, there’s a Design and Wellness Hub, with stalls selling an array of fashion, crafts and accessories, as well as every wellness product your inner yogi dreams of. Don’t miss the Live Art Display presented by local artist Murray Cowan, who will be spray-painting a large ( 2.5m x 5m) canvas for all to observe.
And, should you need a pick-me-up between talks and shopping, you can replenish at Blended (smoothies and juices), Tru Pizza and Phat Fox Frozen Fun (dairy-free frozen desserts).
Dance the night away
Alas, no real festival is complete without the chance to boogie the night away, and Equilibrium’s stellar lineup doesn’t disappoint. International headline act Niconé comes straight from Berlin’s vibrant club scene to deliver a set combining deep house, tech and old-school electronic, with local artists such as Artelligent and James Copeland Music taking his cue.
If music, art and wellness be the food of love, join us in Paarl at this unique gathering.
