Once again, the marquee on the lawns at the Huguenot Monument will be a hive of activity at “The Magic of Bubbles” Cap Classique & Champagne Festival. One of the most anticipated highlights on the Cape’s social calendar, this annual festival attracts bubbly aficionados from far and wide to sip and savour top-notch MCCs and the finest French champagne.

Brands such as Anthonij Rupert Wyne, Avondale, Black Elephant Vintners, Boschendal Wines, Steenberg Vineyards and Haute Cabrière (home of Pierre Jourdan) will be on hand to showcase their premium MCCs, and Franschhoek restaurants that have gained a reputation as some of the best in the country will be presenting their delicious dishes to complement the bubblies. These include Bread & Wine, The Restaurant at Grande Provence, Mont Rochelle, Huguenot Fine Chocolates, and L’Ermitage.

This year’s theme is Black and White with a Splash of Summer. And don’t forget to wear a hat – not only will it up your glam quotient, it’ll protect you from the midday rays.
Your R375 ticket includes access to the festival, which is open daily between 12pm and 5pm, and a complimentary tasting glass and tasting coupons. Additional vouchers can be purchased on the day. Children under 18 years are allowed free entry.
