Franschhoek Open Gardens Festival 2016

Ten private gardens will open their gates to the public for a rare viewing this summer. Visitors are invited to amble around Franschhoek and explore the splendour of these exquisite gardens, some of which are over 100 years old.

The gardens on show range from very personal village plots to less-visited private gardens of the large estates. In addition, there are the wonderful design-rich lawns on some of the larger homes in the village, as well as some outstanding indigenous gardens.

There’ll also be live music by local talent at Sandstone House and 36 Cabrière Street on Saturday. Naturally, you’ll also be able to stock up on plants and blooms to take home with you at the huge plant sale that’s also part of the festivities.
