Casa Labia by Ideas Cartel Presents Open-Air Movie Nights in Muizenberg
You're invited to an open-air movie night.
By Kent Cloete • 30 November 2020
Built in the 1920s by Count and Countess Natale Labia, this stately mansion on Muizenberg’s Main Road has been wowing passers-by for decades, with its impossible-to-ignore pinks walls, eminent stature and prime sea-facing position.
Mirroring the beauty of an 18th-century Venetian palace, Casa Labia by Ideas Cartel is a destination in itself, offering superb food and drinks and a slew of activities.
The Gatsby-style interiors, adorned with original Renaissance and Baroque art works, silk drapes on the windows and crystal chandeliers, create a distinctly Venetian flavour – the perfect setting to enjoy a 1920s-era silverscreen classic!
Movies by the sea

Now host to Galileo Royale Open Air Cinema, Casa Labia is inviting guests to enjoy a series of movie screenings under the stars, starting with The Great Gatsby on 9 December 2020.
You’ll be treated to a welcome drink, appetiser and popcorn on arrival, plus an hour-long live-music performance, all included in the VIP ticket price. You can also order a meal and drinks from the restaurant’s Italian-inspired menu. The venue is home to two brand-new hotel rooms, pioneered by Ideas Cartel and a first for this historic setting!
A 1920s movie in a 1920s setting? Daisy would be proud!
