Raats Family Wines welcome oenophiles for an evening of ambrosial pleasure.
Bree Street is always a hive of endless revelry as restaurateurs swing open their doors and invite members of the public to enjoy a series of memorable celebrations in their establishments. Chef Matt Manning of the wildly popular Grub & Vine bistro is a case in point; by allowing proudly South African wineries to take over his restaurant for the night!
The invading wine farm – Raats Family Wines – will seize control of the wine list, while its winemaker act as a sommelier, pouring guests their most iconic vintages in conjunction with a delectable five-course meal.
Doors open at 6pm on 26 February, and the wine-paired canapés costs R75 per person.
Greener pastures
Grub & Vine’s private dining room, the newly renovated Green Room, is available for year-end dinners, parties and any other festive celebrations. Named for its greenery and garden-inspired decor, the intimate space also has an outdoor courtyard and bar, and can accommodate between 15 and 30 guests for private parties.
