A place of cider, cherries and scenic mountain trails in the magical Ceres Valley.
Summer is here, which can only mean one thing: it’s cherry season in Ceres! And, to celebrate, this cider and fruit farm in the Ceres Valley is opening its doors for a day of trail runs and festivities on Saturday, 28 November 2020.
Whether you’d like to partake in a fun 5km walk with the family, or you’re up for a 10.7km run, you’re welcome! Just be sure to set aside time afterwards for a refreshing cider (nonalcoholic options are available, too) and some satisfying snacks.
Post-run fun
After the run, participants and supporters are welcome to enjoy a relaxing day on the farm. Loxtonia Cider will be available on tap, as well as Jack Black, Devil’s Peak, Hey Joe Brewing Company and Karoo Craft Breweries and a Six Dogs Gin bar. There will also be food trucks, a cherry stand and coffee, all of which can be enjoyed among the orchards while listening to melodious live music.
Accommodation in Ceres
If you’re keen to extend your stay in Ceres Valley, and spend the weekend in the valley, we recommend Bosjes (for luxe lodgings) or Suikerbossie Guest Farm (for an immersive camping experience).
