An extension of the wildly successful First Thursdays, Museum Night returns to the V&A Waterfront.

It’s time to get cultural! On Thursday, 27 June 2019, several museums at the V&A Waterfront will be open to the public – free of charge.

Participating museums:

  • Iziko Maritime Centre
  • Cape Medical Museum
  • Chavonnes Battery Museum
  • Everard Read + CIRCA Galleries
  • Robben Island Jetty One Museum
  • Nelson Mandela Gateway

The internationally acclaimed Zeitz MOCAA – one of the most exciting cultural attractions in South Africa – is a not-to-be-missed stop and this Museum Night it will be open for half the usual price, and free of charge to students and under 18s.

And, if you’re feeling fishy, the Two Oceans Aquarium will be open to the public for half the regular entrance fee.

This is your chance to explore some of the historical and cultural centres at the V&A, while enjoying the magical views of the harbour at dusk. In addition to cool exhibitions, attendees can enjoy a great programme of live performances and walkabouts, many of which will take place at The Watershed, Amphitheatre and Noble Square.

While you’re there, The Cape Wheel is not to be missed.
