The Oude Libertas Amphitheatre Summer Music Series 2018
An evening under the stars with live music, a delicious picnic, in a charming country setting… Hello summer!
By • December 04, 2017
The Oude Libertas Amphitheatre, with its beautiful Spanish architecture and wonderful views of the Stellenbosch mountains and vineyards, must surely be one of the most magical open-air theatres in the world. And, for the past 40 years, it has been a popular performance venue for local musicians and theatre productions, attracting music and theatre lovers from far and wide for a wonderful evening of entertainment under the stars.
What makes the picturesque setting even more special is the wide-open lawn, where concert-goers can enjoy an alfresco picnic (bring your own) before the show. Sundays are a family affair so bring the little ones (children under 12 enter for free), and enjoy the Sunday Sunset Series on the lawn.
Don’t miss a beat
Once again Oude Libertas has put together a stellar lineup of performances for the duration of summer, including Nataniël, renowned conductor Richard Cock, Zolani Mahola (Freshlyground) and songstress Melanie Scholtz.
