Riebeek Cellar Collection’s Wild Olive Acoustic Stage 2019

Get your toes tapping at this out-of-town Wild Olive music festival.

With the popular annual Riebeek Valley Olive Festival – now in its 19th year – expect barrelfuls of olives, wine, craft beer and delicious food… But what’s good food and wine, without good music, right? Thankfully, Riebeek Cellars Collection is providing an array of toe-tapping tunes to get you into the swing of things!

The Riebeek Cellars Collection Wild Olive Acoustic Stage, taking place on 4 and 5 May 2019, features a bumper lineup of musos, gourmet food trucks and some of the tastiest olive-related products around.

Trucks, tunes and taking it easy

Acoustic Stage

With the likes of Francois van Coke and Jesse Jordan heading up the Wild Olive Acoustic Stage, revellers are in for a full Saturday of awesome acoustics. Stretch out on the grass, with a glass of Riebeek’s latest vintage(s), and let Sunset Sweatshop, Willim Welsyn and Jake Gunn among others, keep you entertained with some laidback acoustic performances.

In addition to excellent music, you’ll be able to enjoy food from gourmet food trucks, olive-orientated stalls, and a family-friendly vibe, perfect for the whole family.

Lekker lineup

2019 acts include:

  • Jesse Jordan
  • Sunset Sweatshop
  • Soetmelk
  • Jake Gunn
  • Willim Welsyn
  • Francois van Coke

Space is limited for the Saturday event, so it’s best to arrive early – gates open at 9.30am. And if you want to park and ride, there is a shuttle service running from the town square.

Wine-blending course

The vibe on Sunday is decidedly chilled, as all good Sundays should be. If you’re a wine enthusiast, be sure to attend the exclusive blending session (R50), led by winemaker extraordinaire Alecia Boshoff. Take your personalised blend home or pair it with some delicious eats on offer, and listen to Francois Haasbroek on the lawn. Spaces are limited for the exclusive session, so book ahead to avoid disappointment. For more information, and to pre-book your spot, please email info@riebeekcellars.co.za.
