Celebrate the season at one of the most relaxed festivals in the winelands. Robertson Wine on the River is all about chilling and enjoying the breathtaking natural beauty of the region with top-class wine and food. For this, its 12th year, festival goers have the opportunity to taste more 300 wines from the wineries in the area, making this one of the biggest wine festivals in the Cape.
Enjoy some leisurely wine-tasting at established wineries such De Wetshof, Bon Courage, Rietvallei, Robertson Winery, Paul Rene MCC and Springfield. Or, opt for a tutored tasting, but make sure you pre-book to avoid disappointment.
Other activities include boat cruises (the proceeds of which will go to Hospice), plus there’ll be specially dedicated kids’ activities such as face-painting, horse riding, a jungle gym and tractor rides (on a pay as you go system).
The Robertson Valley supports a responsible tasting policy, and offers complimentary shuttle services for festival goers between the Goudmyn festival area and central locations in the surrounding towns (Bonnievale, Montagu and Robertson). Check out the 2017 Shuttle Service Schedule.
