Sanbona Wildlife Reserve: A Live Performance by Soprano Katherine Jenkins

End the year on a high note in the wilderness.

Sanbona Wilderness Foundation Event 2022: Lead

A conservation fundraiser de luxe featuring the soul-stirring voice of mezzo soprano Katherine Jenkins live under the stars in the glorious wild landscapes of Sanbona Wildlife Reserve promises a pre-Christmas safari getaway with a difference.

Sanbona Wilderness Foundation Event 2022: Safari

Limited to only a special few guests, the two-day fundraising getaway celebrates the Wilderness Foundation’s 50th anniversary. The luxury safari experience will feature a programme of conservation-focused events and a truly unique outdoor concert in a wild, natural amphitheatre. This is in addition to Sanbona Wilderness Reserve’s already fabulous array of game drives, gourmet food, luxury safari lodge accommodation and fireside storytelling.

Music under the stars

Sanbona Wilderness Foundation Event 2022: Katherine Jenkins

Welsh mezzo soprano superstar, Katherine Jenkins OBE, is a patron of the Wilderness Foundation, as is her husband, Hollywood filmmaker Andrew Levitas (his latest project – Minamata starring Johnny Depp), who joins her at Sanbona for this event. Katherine (the classical artist who has sold the most albums this century) will perform a programme of her music in the rocky Sanbona landscape at dusk.

Saving the wilderness

Sanbona Wilderness Foundation Event 2022: Wilderness Foundation Africa

The majority of the event cost is a donation to Wilderness Foundation Africa, raising funds to support its invaluable and innovative approach to conservation. Founded by Dr Ian Player in 1972, the foundation protects and sustains fast-dwindling African wilderness areas through anti-poaching initiatives, wilderness management, developing young leaders from disadvantaged communities, and a variety of programmes that focus on lasting impacts.

At Sanbona you’ll be part of a carefully compiled conservation programme celebrating the foundation’s 50th anniversary, as well as contributing to its future endeavours.

A truly memorable way to kick off the festive season while you give back.

Good to know SA taxpayers will get an 18a tax certificate against the donation portion of the cost.
