On the edge of the marina at the V&A Waterfront, this nautically themed branch of Harbour House takes full advantage of its waterside location, offering superb seafood dishes that are as fresh as the ocean air.
Conveniently situated on a jetty near the Victoria & Alfred Mall, the restaurant boasts a white-washed interior, with spectacular outdoor seating for those keen to soak up the harbourside atmosphere and fresh sea breeze.
A seaside feast
And this month, lovers of seafood (and wine) are invited to enjoy a four-course feast prepared by a series of acclaimed local chefs, kicking off with chef Pete Goffe-Wood on Wednesday, 2 December 2020.
Each of chef Pete’s courses will be accompanied by a wine from Waterford Wine Estate in Somerset West. Here is the menu for 2 December 2020:
- Canapé Tuna ceviche, tomato, coriander, avocado and preserved lemon, paired with Waterford Rose-Mary
- Second course Home-cured ocean trout, pickled cucumber, sweet mustard dressing and dill oil, paired with Waterford OVP chenin or Elgin Sauvignon Blanc
- Third course Cape Malay bouillabaisse, line fish, squid, mussels, saffron aioli and croutons, paired with Waterford Chardonnay
- Dessert Plate of sweets paired with Waterford Heatherleigh
