This weekend-long celebration of the Cape Town electronic music scene takes place on Rivers End Farm near Stanford.

The fields of the idyllic Rivers End Farm near Stanford will come alive with synthetic and soulful beats when an exciting lineup of musical performers take the stage. Smalltown Beat is a celebration of the electronic music scene in Cape Town, and promises to be a creative, festive weekend of live music, food, drink and craft stalls and camping.

Highlights of the festival include:

  • A lineup of musical performances and activities spread across three different stages: the riverside stage, warehouse stage and forest lounge stage
  • An array of food stalls, with vegan and vegetarian options, coffees and desserts
  • Clothing stalls and markets

  • A camping ground, where guests can pitch their tents or sleep under the stars

Tickets can be purchased online through Howler, and are selling out fast, so get booking now. Tickets include access to the main festival area, campsite, ablutions and showers for the whole weekend. There is an option to purchase a Sunday-only ticket.

Good to know

  • Alcohol is allowed in the camping ground (no glass though), but cannot be brought into the festival area.
  • On entering the festival area, you will need to pay a R50 deposit for a rubbish bag. You’ll receive the R50 back when you exit the festival site with your rubbish bag full
  • Unclaimed deposits will be donated to the Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy.
  • The camping ground will remain open until Monday, for people who’d prefer not to drive home on Sunday night.
