Where better to celebrate the culinary arts than in the country’s gourmet capital, and one of the world’s most renowned wine-growing regions? This August, the City of Oaks is staving off the cold when it hosts the Stellenbosch Fine Wine & Food Festival in the historic town hall on Plein Street.
Fine Wine & Finer Food
Staying true to the spirit of the festival, only wines made from grapes grown in the Stellenbosch region will be available for tasting; and with so many award-winning vintages included in that category, it’s sure to be a festival rich in flavour.
Joining the region’s many skilled winemakers, some of the country’s top chefs will be in attendance, including Bertus Basson (Overture and Eike), George Jardine (Jordan Restaurant and Restaurant Seven), Michael Deg (Cavalli) and Lucas Carstens (Majeka House). The esteemed chefs will be preparing an array of expertly crafted canapés to complement the wines on offer.
Tickets are in high demand, so be sure to book your spot well in advance to avoid disappointment.
