Fresh air, fine food, organic wine and family farm magic.
The Myburgh family have called Joostenberg Wine Estate home for five generations. Lunch at The Kraal, on this glorious patch of the Cape Winelands, is always a treat – real farm-to-fork food served as a generous family-style feast. Add in the allure of a summer stroll around the farm, winery and historic werf, or a session of outdoor art, and it’s an experience not to be missed.
Spring Walks at Joostenberg
After tea or coffee and pastries on arrival, you’ll join owner and winemaker Tyrrel Myburgh for a walk on the farm as he shares insights into regenerative and organic farming and winemaking. You’ll stroll through the vineyards, see the renosterveld rejuvenation project and the farm gardens – from flowers to herbs, vegetables and indigenous flora. Ending up back at the historic werf, the experience ends with a visit to the winery and a complimentary tasting of Joostenberg’s wines. Thereafter, you’re welcome to stay for lunch (not included in the price).
