Endorphin-inducing cardio in the winelands
Nothing beats the crispness of early morning air – except perhaps an early morning trail run through the Durbanville Hills vineyards. On 13 June, event organisers Durbanville Hills and the Tertiary School in Business Administration (TSiBA) are inviting members of the public to join them at 7.30am for a 5km or 10km trail run.
This is the third event in the 2015 series organised by TSiBA – a non-profit business school in the Southern Cape offering tertiary education to students from underprivileged backgrounds. All proceeds will go towards the TSiBA Eden campus in Karatara near Knysna.
The starting point for both routes is the estate’s cellar, and meander through the lush vineyards that stretch across the valley and over the hills. Walkers are welcome to enjoy the early-morning scenery at a comfortable pace.
Tickets cost R80 and R100 for the 5km and 10km trails respective, followed by a wine tasting session.
