Well-known in Cape Town for its delicious offerings, this environment-friendly burger joint is spreading its wings.
If you’re a burger buff, chances are you’ve sunk your teeth into an IYO burger (which, in case you weren’t aware, stands for Inside & You’re Out). You’ll find the original branch on the Mother City’s food strip – Bree Street, but what you might not yet know is that IYO will soon be offering mouth-watering burger deliciousness in Sea Point, too.
Where it all began
IYO Burgers began back in 2013, when two passionate, farmish guys, Jonah Lewis and Jean-Marc Lenferna DeLa Motte, hatched up the idea of offering something tasty that’s also Earth-friendly, ethical and local.
And so it happened that this now-popular burger joint was born, which soon become famous for its juicy patties (made from 100% grass-fed beef) and organic curly fries.
Next up
We recently heard through the foodie ’vine that IYO Burgers is setting up shop in Sea Point in what will surely be yet another exciting, new addition to the Regent Street scene.
IYO’s owners are keeping the details close to their chest, but foodie insiders are speculating that the new branch is connected to Sea Point’s new urban food and retail hub, The Mojo Market.
The Mojo Market – which opens to the public on 27 April 2017 – is set to offer an incredible food and lifestyle experience, 365 days a year, and will grace Regent Street with over 80 trading food stall, with IYO Burgers among them.
How do we know? Well, recent posts by The Mojo Market on social media have safely confirmed that IYO Burgers will be trading there from mid-April. Subscribe to our newsletter, and we’ll reveal the finer details, as they become known.
