Hail Pizza

Hail Pizza

Pizza for president.

Wholesome by day; Hail Pizza by Night, this new addition to upper Bree Street is one of those places you’ll miss unless you’re exploring on foot. Tucked at the back of Clarke’s (the ever-popular burger joint/watering hole) in the space previously patronised by skateboarders, the two-in-one eatery serves fresh juices, smoothies, breakfast and light lunches by day (seven days a week), morphing into an upbeat pizza joint from Tuesday to Friday night.

Off Wholesome’s menu, I can highly recommend the goat’s cheese tartine with tomato and basil – a delicious and filling breakfast.

From Hail Pizza, go for a cocktail (dreamed up by the staff) and a pizza, of course – they’re great (literally and figuratively).

So, next time you’re in that neck of the woods, ignore the Clarke’s distraction, and push through to the back – it’s spacious, casual and welcoming, and the menu is well worth a try.
