You don’t have to be vegan, vegetarian or even health-conscious to enjoy the utterly delicious fare at this courtyard café in Constantia: creative, seasonal food made from scratch with farm-fresh ingredients and oodles of love.
The café was founded by passionate owner Kate Ball in 2015 and has become a staple among locals (including comedian Nik Rabinowitz) for delectable vegan and vegetarian meals that are free from refined sugar, gluten, preservatives, as well as a host of other popular food items.
Get your day off to a spirited start with a potent juice combo or smoothie (there’s even a chocolate-mocha option), or their delicious organic coffee. Breakfast could be crustless spinach and feta quiche, powerhouse porridge, exotic-mushroom scramble, or a chia pot as part of a build-your-own selection.
Later, there’s a lunch spread of fresh salads, bowls and wraps, or gourmet sourdough toasties. And for the sweet-toothed: triple chocolate brownies, peanut-butter cups, decadent shortbread and oat ice-creams.
