Settle into the gorgeously opulent Taj Lobby Lounge & Bar for a leisurely afternoon catch-up with friends, or perch in the light-filled Mint Restaurant overlooking St George’s Mall for a lunchtime spoil… the new dedicated sushi menu with suggested pairings of cap classique and champagne is available in all of the Taj restaurants, bars and lounges.

Simply elegant sushi

There’s no need to reinvent the wheel with sushi. Skill, simplicity and sparkling freshness are the key in this dedicated menu which focuses on classic rainbow rolls, nigiri, salmon roses and sashimi. Salmon, tuna and prawn (with a vegetarian option in the California and rainbow rolls) are the stars and there are two mixed platter options for a full-on sushi fest.

Bubbly pairings

There’s no better pairing for sushi than a glass or two of cap classique. Choose between L’Ormarins Brut (or Brut Rosé) and Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel Brut, all available by the glass or bottle. Or if you’re pushing the boat out in celebratory mode, pop a bottle of true-blue French champagne: Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, or Taittinger are the suggested pairings.
