Alto Italian Nights: R295 for 2 courses; R375 for 3 courses

Set in the heart of red-wine country (in Stellenbosch’s Golden Triangle), Alto is known for its stunning vineyard views and hearty bistro flavours to match its award-winning wines. In winter, chef Matthew Delponte revisits his Italian heritage and creates a comfort-food-focussed à la carte menu for the winter Italian Night series. Think gnocchi romano, venison carpaccio, beef minestrone soup for starters; followed by beef ravioli, prawn and chorizo risotto, wild mushroom risotto or steak aglio e olio. And don’t miss out on dessert: tiramisu cheesecake or an affogato with Amaretto.
