Cape Point Vineyards Lunch Special: R295 for 2 Courses

An unexpected slice of vineyards climbing the mountain slopes above Noordhoek, this family-owned estate is the place to go for simply spectacular views whatever the season. In winter you might get stormy cloudscapes or golden sunlight sparkling on the Atlantic Ocean (just 1.2 kilometres or so away), the perfect backdrop to a warming weekday lunch. Choose two or three courses from the concise à la carte menu: perhaps yellowtail tartare or hoisin glazed pork for starters; crisp skinned chicken with smoked cauliflower; herb-crusted linefish; or spinach and butternut ravioli for main; and malva pudding with preserved fig; winter citrus parfait or a red wine poached pear for dessert.
