Explore Cape Town’s national parks for a fraction of the price.

Great news for Capetonians: The SANParks’ My Green Card allows 12 free entries into the pay points of the Table Mountain National Park (TMNP) within a one-year period. If you are a frequent visitor to Cape Point, Boulders, Oudekraal, Silvermine, and the braai and picnic areas at Tokai, Newlands and Perdekloof, this card is worth purchasing.

It costs only R135 and allows 12 free visits to places such as Cape Point, or the Newlands braai area. In addition, up to five South African citizens can enter for free on the card (with proof of ID), but this will count as six entries on your card. Cards are renewable annually.

How to apply

Visit a TMNP office and bring your ID, two ID photos and proof of residence (no older than three months). An application form is available online, but it needs to be handed in physically at a TMNP office.
