Grub & Vine Norval Winter Special: R495 For 4 Courses

Grub And Vine Norval Special

Elegant bistro dining in the Constantia Valley.

Grub & Vine Norval, the sophisticated Winelands sibling to Matt Manning’s Grub & Vine on Bree Street, is an airy glass-walled restaurant at Norval Foundation. Overlooking striking sculpture gardens and rolling mountains, it’s known for refined bistro fare and a simply superb wine offering. This winter, there are two delicious menus to choose from. The four-course sharing menu starts with playful canapés like corn croquettes with chilli aioli and shrimp pani puri, served alongside warm focaccia. Starters include comforting oxtail gnocchi with mushroom purée, or fish curry lentil soup. For mains, choose between pan-roasted linefish and a seafood curry pot; a classic beef Wellington; or 300g chargrilled beef rump with grilled millies. Sides like crispy herb potatoes and hasselback butternut complete the spread. Finish off with a fresh lemon curd tart, or opt for a selection of South African cheeses.
If you’re in the mood for some soul-warming soup, check out their seasonal soup menu, which features wholesome favourites like butternut; creamy onion; and fish curry lentil. Naturally, a selection of fresh bread accompanies these – think cheese and herb bread with truffle and chive butter, onion bread with coriander butter, and classic pesto bread with garlic butter.
