About The Manor at Nederburg Boasting breathtaking views of the Drakenstein mountains and the farm’s vineyards and gardens beyond, The Manor restaurant celebrates Nederburg’s rich heritage (dating back to 1791) through an innovative food-and-wine experience in the beautifully reimagined manor house. Open for breakfast, lunch and garden picnics, the eatery is run by head chef Jerry Kennedy and his passionate team, who have created a tantalising menu of seasonal fare matched with award-winning wines.
Upon arrival, you’ll receive a complimentary glass of crisp estate bubbly paired with wild mushroom arancini, truffle pea purée, a Parmesan wafer, and sticky ginger and soy glaze to warm up the palate.
You’ll then choose a starter of either crispy fried squid, lemon aioli, parsley and lemon peel salad; or zucchini carpaccio, walnuts, gratinated Chevin and mizuna salad (vegan option) paired with a glass of Nederburg’s refreshing Carignan Grenache rosé.
Mains include ginger-and-chilli-glazed pork belly, sesame crackling, apple wood-smoked pak choi, thyme-crusted mielie pap and wakame broth; venison loin, butternut potato dauphinoise and prune jus; and Jambalaya with cauliflower steak, carrot and miso purée, and carrot top pesto (vegan option). Enjoy any three meal options with a glass of Nederburg’s Heritage Heroes Motorcycle Marvel Rhône-style blend.
End your meal with an orange shard crème brûlée and 70% dark chocolate shortbread crumble for dessert, with a glass of the award-winning Noble Late Harvest dessert wine.
