As expected of a La Colombe restaurant, Pier promises culinary adventure, this time with a seaside location and chef John Norris-Rogers’ knack for coaxing the best flavours from the finest local produce. The team traverses a spider-silk thread between theatrics, molecular gastronomy and classic French technique, creating a delightful sense of occasion, overshadowing even the floor-to-ceiling harbour vistas.
On the winter menu are Tandoori yellowfin tuna with avocado and Chevre; quail, langoustine and spiced coconut; Karoo lamb with stuffed morel and celeriac, among other delights – even the bread course is a spectacular collection of sumptuous, soul-food flavours.
