In the intimate Momiji dining room at Tjing Tjing, an omakase experience unfolds every Saturday evening… A layered, flavour-led take on Japanese dining that’s balanced, bold, and far from predictable. Chef Nicola Aucamp draws on her Cape Town roots to craft a menu that tells a personal story, while honouring the philosophy and finesse of Japanese cuisine. From yellowtail sashimi with house-made buchu-pickled ginger to wagyu-tongue sandos and soba noodles in lime dashi with spekboom, each course is thoughtfully composed with a focus on quality and seasonality – offering a deeply considered and quietly expressive dining experience.
